Last week, Ms. Cagle's Y5/K class tie dyed shirts blue and yellow, those are the colors used to support Down Syndrome. Yesterday, they all wore those shirts in celebration of World Down Syndrome Day, including one very special little Aggie! Mrs. Bell came in and read a book about how everyone is exactly who they are supposed to be and the class learned that we are all more alike than different!

Sand Creek Schools will be having a lockdown drill at 9:45 a.m. this morning in both buildings. This is only a drill. Madison Township Fire and Police department personnel will be in the buildings participating in this drill. They will also be working through some lockdown procedures with our 6-12 students which will cause the lockdown drill in the 6-12 building to be longer than usual. As always, please feel free to contact either school office with questions.

Miss Holtz is taking Methods for Teaching Social Studies at Siena Heights University. Here she is with sixth grade students working on a group presentation of additions to add to Sand Creek Schools or Sand Creek Community.

January is School Board Appreciation Month. Our elementary students made this "quilt" for our School Board; we appreciate all they do!

Good evening, This afternoon (Friday, January 26th), we had an unavoidable bus driver shortage issue that required double runs for two of our routes - the School of Choice (Old UAW) Route and the Bus #2 route. We sent out an alert to these parents/students on these buses last night. We just learned that although some received the message, many did not. We apologize for this error and for the inconvenience and problems this caused. We were not aware of the issue but will be looking into it further.
