Choose Responsibility

PBIS focuses on teaching and reinforcing positive behaviors throughout the school day. Our goal is to establish a consistent and respectful environment where students understand what is expected of them and are motivated to do their best. By acknowledging and rewarding positive behaviors, we create a culture of respect, responsibility, and safety.

Key Components of PBIS:

  • Clear Expectations: We have developed a set of school-wide expectations that emphasize being respectful, responsible, and safe. These expectations are communicated and taught to all students in a positive and supportive manner.

  • Positive Reinforcement: Students will be recognized and rewarded for displaying positive behaviors. These rewards may include praise, special privileges, or participation in school-wide celebrations.

  • Consistent Consequences: While we focus on positive behavior, it is equally important to address inappropriate behavior in a fair and consistent way. Students will understand the consequences of their actions and be encouraged to make better choices in the future.

  • Family Involvement: Your support is crucial to the success of the PBIS program. We encourage you to discuss the school-wide expectations with your child and reinforce these positive behaviors at home. Together, we can create a consistent message that supports your child’s growth and development.
