
Back to School Open Houses are quickly approaching!


The 2023/2024 school year kicks-off at Sand Creek Schools with the Back-to-School Open House on Wednesday, August 16th. This will be a great chance for students and parents to meet teachers, find classrooms and lockers, and greet classmates and staff.
• Ruth McGregor Elementary School Open House: August 16th, 4-6 p.m.
• Sand Creek Jr./Sr. High School Open House: August 16th, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
• A separate 6th grade Open House and Orientation will be held on Tuesday, August 15th, 6-7:30 p.m.
The first day of school is Monday, August 21st, which is a half-day. The Sand Creek Jr./Sr. High School will dismiss at 11:30 p.m. and Ruth McGregor Elementary School will dismiss at 11:45 a.m.
The full district calendar, as well as both building calendars, are currently being worked on but can be found on the district website as soon as they are ready.

On May 16th the middle school Ten80 race team went to Ypsilanti for competition.
Team Thunderducks (Silas Daniels, Austin Brown, Wyatt Beal, and Noah Hassenzahl) won four first place certificates; one for most laps in ten minutes, one for fastest pit stop, one for the endurance race, and one for most points.
Team Lightning and Roses (Jacqueline Schoonover, Chloe Willeman, Wyatt Vaughn, and Haily Baker) won the first place certificate for graphic design.
Team Zoomies (Logan Underwood, Erin Alexander, Danae Carden, Annalise Keech) finished second in the endurance race.
Team Fergieee (Sydney Marks, Olivia Swander, Jalyn Snyder, and Peyton Luck) finished fourth.
On May 17th the high school Ten80 race team went to Ypsilanti for competition.
Team Ferde Boys (Jordan Illenden, Tyler Damms, and Jacob Schamberger) finished first in fastest lap and most laps in ten minutes.
Team Aces (Emma Carmody, Cole Raper, Parker Bowles) and Team Shellshock (Kennedy Mangus, Taylor Styron, Destini Carden, Evie Golema, and Leah Smotherman) all competed at the event and did well.

Congrats to senior Emma Foltz on signing with Siena Heights University for Cheer!


The Aggie Ambassadors facilitated an elementary wide drive, class vs. class. During the month of April, students were asked to bring in items that would benefit the animals at the Lenawee County Humane Society. Elementary Counselor Keshia Maybee dropped those items off at Humane Society this week.
We are so proud of our Young Aggies who strive to help the community!
